Our Cleaning Process
At Vacation Direct Rentals, we understand that our guests are more concerned about cleanliness than ever before. Our units are cleaned using careful guidelines and procedures designed to create a safe, sanitary environment and reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Below is an overview of our cleaning process.
1. Cleaning of surfaces.
The first step in our cleaning process involves removing debris and dust from all surfaces in the rental, including counters, floors, and tables. We clean hard surfaces with soap and water, and we also sweep or vacuum the floors. We also take out the trash and clean the dishes during this time to remove additional sources of germs from the unit.
When cleaning soft surfaces like upholstery and curtains, we follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer. Typically, this involves removing visible dirt and then using an appropriate cleaner. All linens are washed at the highest heat setting the manufacturer recommends in order to eliminate germs.
2. Sanitizing.
The next step in our cleaning process is sanitization. During this part of the process, we use chemicals to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens, focusing on areas you touch most often. Using chemical disinfectants, we clean all frequently touched surfaces, including light switches, door knobs and cabinets. We also clean all electronics in the rental unit based on the manufacturer’s instructions.
All of the cleaning products we use have been carefully selected to ensure the best sanitization. When sanitizing any hard surface, we always allow the product to air dry, as this provides the most effective elimination of germs.
3. Double-checking.
The cleanliness and safety of our rental units is of utmost importance to us and our guests. For this reason, we always double-check that everything, including high-touch surfaces, has been properly cleaned and sanitized. If we find any areas that may have been missed, we will take the time to make sure they have been cleaned and disinfected. We will also check that the trash has been emptied, that linens have been washed, and that no part of the space has been left uncleaned.
4. Resetting the space.
After we have completed the cleaning and sanitization process and disposed of all cleaning supplies, we reset the space for the next guest. This involves replacing any missing items, restocking needed supplies, and making sure everything is in order for your stay. Our goal is to make your trip as memorable and enjoyable as possible!
5. Providing cleaning products for guests.
We understand that you may want to clean the space during your stay in order to keep it comfortable and further reduce your risk of any type of infection. For this reason, we stock our rental units with cleaning supplies that guests can use during their visit. Be sure to use these products responsibly, and supervise your children carefully to prevent an accident.
In addition to the procedures above, we also take other precautions to ensure that you can visit any of our rental properties with confidence. When cleaning a rental unit, we use only products that have been registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Anyone cleaning one of our rental properties is instructed to wash their hands before beginning and to wear protective equipment, including facial coverings and gloves. Gloves are changed after cleaning each room to prevent cross-contamination. Rooms are also well-ventilated during the cleaning process to prevent a buildup of dangerous fumes.
After every cleaning, cleaning supplies and tools are either sanitized or disposed of properly. The vacuum cleaner is emptied and sanitized after each use, and all cleaning gear used in the sanitization process is removed from the space before your stay.
We want you to feel comfortable, confident, and safe when visiting any of our Las Vegas rental units. If you have any questions or concerns about our cleaning process, please contact us for more information.
